The Haws small plastic watering can has annoyed me for some tome -we bought one each for our grand-children to use and then found that they have razor sharp edges at the top water-entry hole - and where do children try to stuff their hands? Down into that very hole of course!!
This affects the YOUNG end of the age spectrum, but these cans are just ideal size for aspiring young waterers! I took it up with Trading Standards but they fobbed it off as not important since the brand wasn't really headed at young people AND ANYWAY IT WAS PLASTIC, NOT STEEL!
I wish one of their officers had run his/her finger around those edges, they might very quickly change their attitude. I dressed all our cans to get a rounded edge. We were always told in apprenticeship that sharp edges were the sign of poor manufacture, and never to leave any ourselves. (Just put your hand up the back of a car dashboard though and you will soon find out who obeys those rules!)
