Dounreay work
Engineering firm Gravatom has won a £750,000 contract to develop a tool maintenance glovebox for Dounreay Site Restoration. The glovebox will be used for the maintenance of decommissioning tools at the site.
Adding value
Oil and gas service provider Petrofac has been awarded an engineering contract by the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Operations (ADCO). The contract, for debottlenecking services for the onshore North-East Bab field in the United Arab Emirates, aims to add value and increase production to ADCO’s processing
plants.
Russian plant
Global cable developer Nexans has opened a new plant in Russia. The Ouglich plant will manufacture low and medium-voltage power cables for underground and aerial applications. It is claimed to be the first major investment by a non-Russian cable manufacturer in the country and has created 180 jobs.
